Greetings from Finland! Haven't been here for a while. I am currently building a 3.0 L turbo engine for my 951. The target is to have about 450-500 hp. Any 3.0L 951's in Italy ? Ciao, Olli |

Unfortunately for us, there aren't 3.0 Turbo around here. I sow something like it on Krieger's http://www.944er.com/ forum : http://www.wheeledweapons.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1475 It's 2.7 Turbo upgrade. °Nico°

No, iam not searhcing engine. I have a S2 block and i have custom made 104mm turbo pistons. The cylinder head is a 944 2,7 L head, so no need to modify water passage in front corner of the cylinder head. This engine should produce at least 450 hp, with special head with big valves and a custom made intake manifold. Engine management system will be VEMS system. Original KKK turbo is replaced by a Garret ballbearing unit |

Have already tested supercharger in 944... It was not as efficent as Turbo. |

I suppose the final countdown for B group started when Lancia's Finnish driver Henri Toivonen had bad accident and died. BTW. I Know Henri Toivonen's younger brother Harri. he lives quite close to my place. He just changed his Ferrari to new Porsche 911 Turbo. Toivonen family have very strong backgound what comes to racing with Porsche's. Father Pauli Toivonen raced 911's at Monte Carlo rally and Henri also drove 911 Rally cars in the early '80's. Youngest one Harri, have raced Porsche forexample at Le Mans. Finns have raced also quite a lot with Italian cars, remember drives like Markku Alen, Juha Kankkunen etc. Mika Salo raced Ferrari F1 several times when Schumacher had accident back in 1999. It's interesting to see how Kimi Räikkönen drives Ferrari F1 |

Well the new engine will have S2 block & crankshaft, Arrow titanium rods, 2,7 L cylinder head with Chevy Big Block valves, Chevy BB valvesprings, modfied intake & exhaust ports. Valve lifters are mechanical Arrow units and valve spring retainers are titanium ones. Pistons are Wössner 104mm turbo pistons with ferrostan coating, like original 944 pistons have. Intake manifold is special made with adjustable runner lenght. Oil system will include accusump, but if i have more money it will be replaced by a true trysump system. The turbo will be a special made garret unit. I have now a KKK 27/8 with special Holset wheel, but this turbo is for sale, because i will like to have a ball bearing turbo. KKK is unused a can be bolt on to all 951's. Engine management system will be changed to VEMS. I now have a Guru Racing MAP system with AFM LINK box. Target HP goal is set to 450-500hp |
